Christian fellowship

Join us this coming January for 24 / 7 Prayer

The Beacon Christian Fellowship is a new church which has been meeting in Stoke-on-Trent since 2006. It also is developing a regional prayer ministry called ‘Beacon House of Prayer and Christian Centre’ which serves the region around Stoke on Trent and whose prayer facilities are open to all people.

The Beacon Christian Fellowship operates alongside the house of prayer and welcomes anyone who wishes to join their activities. Current Sunday meeting place: Packmoor Community Centre, Stoke on Trent.

Aspects of community life:

  • PRESENCE - Coming together to encounter more of God in Sunday worship gatherings – 10.30am each Sunday at Packmoor Community Centre, Stoke-on-Trent.
  • PURPOSE - Finding a clearer sense of God’s purpose for our own lives, and specifically connecting into a variety of opportunities to facilitate the House of Prayer vision.
  • LOVE - Developing friendships and faith through fortnightly small groups in people’s homes; children Sunday ministry and midweek youth group.
  • LIFE - Encouraging each other to live Jesus-centred, grace-filled lives that influence people for God in work, home and leisure.

The pastors of the fellowship are William & Karen Porter who also lead the house of prayer, alongside a core leadership team. The Beacon is a fresh expression ministry of the Methodist Church (Chester & Stoke District) and is supported by a range of churches in North Staffordshire and Cheshire as well as the 2C7 Christian movement.
