Breakthrough radio show

breakthrough radio

Tuesday nights 10pm - midnight - 101.8 FM in the Stoke on Trent/ Newcastle under Lyme area.

Breakthrough Nights continues with Cross  Rhythms radio. The dynamic weekly late night show of worship music, testimonies and prayer for individuals and the city is an encouraging ministry.

The shows are both an easy flow of worship and sharing which ministers to people who are listening and faith filled praying for greater spiritual breakthrough and glory in the city and region.

Different volunteers from the Beacon house of prayer are involved coming up to worship and intercede in the studio, share on air, take part in the chatroom, or pray with someone on the phone and generally share in the experience.

Jon Bellamy writes about Breakthrough radio programme in  a recent local Cross Rhythms newsletter:

You don't have to listen to much news to hear the sense of growing pressure and concern over people's lives today: increased fuel and food prices, house repossessions, job losses etc. There's a sense of uncomfortable change around us, but in the midst of this those who know their God, and are rooted with their security in Him, will increasingly have opportunities to 'shine like stars in the universe holding out the word of life' Phil 2:15.

In our own city of Stoke-on-Trent there are further shifts of change, particularly in the political arena. Coming soon is the referendum over whether the city should be governed and led by an Elected Mayor or Council Leader system, and there is the potential tension over a proposed BNP march in the city.

Back last April we sensed it was the right time to start a new weekly radio programme, Breakthrough Nights, in partnership with The Beacon House Of Prayer. With a focus on contemporary worship, prayer for situations, people, the city and our nation these programmes have been some of our most spiritually effective programmes. Prayers for people with health issues, pressured job situations, city politics etc.

During the 40 days of lent we focused in on the 7  spheres of city life, praying for transformation and spiritual impact. During May we are looking at Jesus the breakthrough and the different battlegrounds we face in life. Tune into 101.4FM 10pm-12 midnight every Tuesday.
